PatchQuest's patch deployment mechanism automates the process
of deploying patches and managing updates on every system
in your network. A set of patches can be defined as a baseline
and administrators can deploy missing patches to all systems,
or by groups of systems in a just a few clicks from the web
interface. Patch deployment can be scheduled according to
the administrator's convenience, thus saving valuable time
and effort.
Patch deployment using PatchQuest includes two steps - download
and install. At first the selected patches are downloaded
from the internet and stored in a particular location in the
PatchQuest server. Then they are pushed to the target machines
remotely, after which they are installed sequentially.

IT administrators have the responsibility of keeping the systems up-to-date with the latest patches by performing patch management tasks. PatchQuest provides a highly usable web interface with which administrators can group servers and desktops, centrally scan them, detect missing patches in them and schedule patch deployments automatically. It also provides status reports on task completion and enables administrators to keep track of the availability of the latest released patches.
An IT Manager needs to see an overall picture of the Patch Management status within the enterprise, to ensure that the network is well-patched and secure. PatchQuest provides IT Managers with at-a-glance, graphical dashboard views of the patching status for both desktops and servers along with consolidated reports to assist in making informed decisions.
IT Security Staff govern the network security of the entire enterprise. Their role is to ensure that patch management tasks are periodically performed and to track vulnerability status on critical servers and desktops so that the organization's security policies are adhered to. PatchQuest provides IT Security personnel with reports on the vulnerability status of systems, historical reports and scan differential reports which aid in the process of ensuring system security.
