All the patch management tasks performed in PatchQuest, are recorded and displayed as Audit Information. To view the task details and the task status of all patch management operations, visit Reports tab » Task Status
Each operation is associated with a unique task ID which forms an easy reference at any point. From this view, you can get to know the creation time of each task, its completion time, the type and status of the task and information message.
For more info on each task, click on the 'Details' link in the Audit Info column. This will lead to the 'Task Audit Report' with specifics about the particular task. From the Task Audit Report, you can select the system name and re-execute failed tasks for the systems by clicking on the Task button above the table.
The task status reports are enriched graphically with pie-charts and bar graphs. The graphs displayed in this report are :
Each parameter on these graphs is a link, on clicking which you will be led a corresponding task list in the table view down below the graphs.
Task Audit Report Graph
This graph displays the status of one particular task (whether the task is yet to start, running, successfully completed or failed) from the entire task status graph.
You can export this report to any of these formats namely : pdf, html and xls. Click on the 'Export' link on the top of the screen to view the reports in an export-format of your choice.
Reports can be viewed and saved in a particular export format or they can be e-mailed to an address. Click on the 'E-mail' link and select the format which needs to be e-mailed, along with the e-mail ID and a custom message.
The tasks listed in the Task Status Report view can be deleted on selecting particular tasks from the list and clicking the 'Delete' button. This will remove all references of the task from the system - be it a 'Completed' Task or a 'Scheduled' Task.
