Vulnerability Scans can be scheduled to be executed once at a later time or periodically in regular intervals. You can choose from the Scan Once or Daily, Weekly & Monthly options from this screen and configure the time interval. A schedule for such a scan will be created, associated with the system and be executed at the appropriate time.
It is advisable to select the 'Update Database' check-box such that the system scanning is always done with latest patch information.
There is an option to scan for Non-security updates as well. By default, this is checked and scanning will detect non-security patches. If you do not wish to detect and manage Non-security updates, uncheck this option.
