System History


All patch management tasks - namely System Discovery and Scanning, Scanning, Patch Deployment and Service Pack Deployment to a system - that have been performed over time for a particular system, constitute the historical information for that  system.

 

To view System History for a system,

In this view, you can view what patch management task has been performed at what time, its status and associated remarks on task completion. If there is no historical information for a system, the icon will be grayed out .

 

The Task ID to each of the tasks is a link which will lead to the Task Audit Report of that particular task. Say for example, as scan task comprises of scanning 5 systems. Therefore, from the System History view of one of these systems, you can derive the info about the scanning of the other 4 systems in one scan task.

 

System History Graphs

The system history reports are enriched graphically with pie-charts and bar graphs. The graphs displayed in this report are :

Each parameter on these graphs is a link, on clicking which you will be led a corresponding task list in the table view down below the graphs.

Export and E-mail

You can export this report to any of these formats namely : pdf, html and xls. Click on the 'Export' link on the top of the screen to view the reports in an export-format of your choice.

 

Reports can be viewed and saved in a particular export format or they can be e-mailed to an address. Click on the 'E-mail' link and select the format which needs to be e-mailed, along with the e-mail ID and a custom message.

 

Canceling Pending Tasks

If there are any tasks for a system in Agent mode (HTTPS), that have the 'Action Status' as 'Awaiting Check In' for long periods of time (Agent has not polled the Server due to some failure), you can cancel 'these' tasks by selecting them and clicking on the 'Cancel Pending Task' button. This will remove this particular system from the overall task that was executed.

 

Note : Canceling of such tasks is applicable only for systems running agents in HTTPS mode.
