Differential Scan Report

Differential Scan Reports compare the results of any two scans and provide a detailed report on the difference in security postures of a particular system.

To access this report, from the Systems view, click on the icon from the menu option that appears on mouse-over icon, against the system name. If there are no scans done on this system, the differential scan report icon is grayed out. Select two scans (executed at different time intervals) that you want to compare and click on 'Generate Report'.

The information displayed in this report is :

• Difference Summary - a table depicting the time details (start time, end time, completion time duration) of the two scans selected
• Statistics - tabular view capturing the numbers and the difference in patches & service packs, between the two scans
• Security Patches (number and list)
  • Patches found missing newly in the recent scan (among the two scans selected)
  • Patches found applied in the recent scan
  • Patches found missing in both scans
• Service Packs (number and list)
  • SPs found missing newly in the recent scan (among the two scans selected)
  • SPs found applied in the recent scan
  • SPs found missing in both scans

Note : A system must have been scanned at least twice to differential report.

Export and E-mail Report

You can export this report to any of these formats namely : pdf, html and xls. Click on the 'Export' link on the top of the screen to view the reports in an export-format of your choice.

Reports can be viewed and saved in a particular export format or they can be e-mailed to an address. Select the format which needs to be e-mailed, click on the 'E-mail' button from the Export link, and specify the e-mail ID and a custom message.
