Prerequisites for Monitoring
  • Ensure that the SNMP agent is running
  • Register OpStor server IP address as trap destination
  • Has the snmp community name configured as  "public" ?  (If a different community is used , it needs to be specified when you add the device via OpStor.)
Steps to add the device for monitoring in the OpStor Browser client
  • Navigate to 'Admin tab' --> 'Manage Storage Devices' link in OpStor Webclient
  • By default 'None' option will be selected
  • Provide IP Address of the Quantum tape library in the "IP Address" text field
  • If the read community is other than "public" , choose 'SNMP' option and specify it in the "community" field
  • Click "Add Device'
