Starting OpStor Server

 

 

Note: Please install OpStor in a machine that has IP access to the storage devices in your environment.

 

To start OpStor server in Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine OpStor 5--> Start OpStor (or) Double-click "OpStor" icon in the desktop.

  2. The server will be started in port 80 (or the one you had specified during installation). If that port is not free, OpStor will try 9010, 9020, 9030 till 10000 and start the server in one of the free ports.

 

To start OpStor server in Linux, follow these steps:

 

Note: To receive the traps in 162 port, you must start the server as a 'root' user.

  1. Execute startOpStorServer.sh under <OpStor Home>/bin directory. Where, <OpStor Home> is the directory where OpStor is installed.

  2. The server will be started in port 80 (or the one you had specified during installation). If that port is not free, OpStor will try 9010, 9020, 9030 till 10000 and start the server in one of these free ports.

To start OpStor Server as a service in Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Run "OpStorService.bat" present under <OpStor Home>/bin directory. This will install OpStor as a service. The service will be listed by the name, "ManageEngine OpStor", in the Windows Services tool
  2. To start the service, run the command "OpStorService.bat -t". This will start OpStor server as a service.

 

Note:

  1. To stop the service, run the command "OpStorService.bat -p"
  2. To remove the service, run the command "OpStorService.bat -r"
