AdventNet ManageEngine OpStor uses the vendor specific MIBs and/or APIs to automatically discover the tape libraries in your network. Complete set of asset, capacity, performance, and configuration information of the Library and its components are discovered and represented in the OpStor client.
OpStor monitors the following physical and logical components of tape libraries for better understanding and control over the tape assets.
Tape library is monitored for parameters such as cleaning required, door status, operational status, etc. Tape drives are monitored for addition, removal, mounting, unmounting, and other functions, and to detect fault conditions. SNMP traps from the tape library are collected and alarms are generated for fault conditions.
Availability reports on tape libraries show the availability trends, downtime history, MTTR, MTBF, etc. The reports can be generated for various time periods such as today, yesterday, last N days, last week, this month, and last month.
OpStor enables launching of vendor's device management web applications directly from OpStor client. Where Telnet is available, OpStor provides remote telnet capability via its web interface, thus enabling remote configuration ability.
OpStor supports tape libraries from the following vendors.
