- Proceedure to install & start SNMP service in HP-UX
servers :
- Download the relevant net-snmp package
from the URL: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=12694
For example, if the HP-UX version is 11.11, download the
file net-snmp-5.2.1-HP-UX_B11.11_9000_800.tar.gz
- Install the tar as root under "/"

changes to take effect.
- A telnet account with username "guest"
and password "guest" needs to be added (Recommended)
. This will be mandatory in case SNMP service is not available.
- HBA Discovery: If HBAs are present in the host server
, ensure that the HBA Agent is installed and running . Download
