3 Prerequisites for Monitoring
Copy the SANtricity jars to <OpStor Home>/jre/lib/ext folder. The procedure
to get the SANtricity jars is given below ,
3.1 Procedure to obtain SANtricity Jars
OpStor uses SANtricity APIs to manage LSI / IBM FastT / StorageTek RAIDs.
- The SANtricity APIs are bundled inside SMclient.jar in SANtricity
Storage Manager Client. Copy SMclient.jar from <Installation
Home>/SM8/client directory to <OpStor Home>/jre/lib/ext
directory.
- By default the <Installation Home> will be C:/Program Files in
Windows and /opt in Linux
If SMclient.jar is not available
Install Engenio (formerly LSI) SMI Provider and use the SANtricity jars available
therein. Please follow the steps below to install Engenio SMI Provider in your
machine;
- For Windows
- Download setup_1.0.19.exe from http://engenio.com/zips/smis_provider/setup_1.0.19.exe
- Install the exe in your machine
- Note: Controller IP asked during SMI Provider installation
need not be specified.
- Copy the following jars from <Engenio SMI Provider Home>/SMI_SProvider/lib
to <OpStor Home>/jre/lib/ext.
- SYMsdk.v0830.jar
- SYMsdk.v0833.jar
- SYMsdk.v0834.jar
- SYMsdk.v0910.jar
- For Linux
- Download Linux_Installer.tar from http://engenio.com/zips/smis_provider/Linux_Installer_1.0.19.tar
- Execute the following commands from a command prompt in the same directory
as the Linux_Installer.tar file:
- tar -xf Linux_Installer.tar
- ./install <or> rpm -vi EngenioProvider-1.0.19-0.i386.rpm
- Copy the following jars from <Engenio SMI Provider Home>/SMI_SProvider/lib
to <OpStor Home>/jre/lib/ext.
- SYMsdk.v0830.jar
- SYMsdk.v0833.jar
- SYMsdk.v0834.jar
