Prerequisites for Monitoring
Ensure SNMP agent is running in the EMC Switch / director.
OpStor uses snmp port 161 and read community 'public' for discovery. If
your settings are different , please provide the same in the OpStor web-client
while adding Switch.
Register OpStor server IP address as a trap destination for the EMC Switch.
Steps to add the device for monitoring in the OpStor Browser client
Navigate to 'Admin tab' --> 'Manage Storage Devices' link in OpStor Webclient
Default 'None' option will be selected
Provide the IP Address of EMC switch /director IP in the "IP Address'
text fields
If the read community is other than "public" , choose 'SNMP' option and
specify it in the "community" field
