Prerequisites
for Monitoring
- In the RemoteManagementUnit (RMU) ensure that the SNMP agent is running.
- Register OpStor server IP address as trap destination
- Has the snmp community name configured as "public" ? To ensure this check the value of Public Name under Configuration tab->SNMP Configuration area. (If a different community is used , it needs to be specified when you add the device via OpStor.)

Refer the section "Configuring SNMP" in Chapter-11 (Using the Remote Management Unit) .
Steps to add
the device for monitoring in the OpStor
Browser client
- Navigate to 'Admin tab' --> 'Manage Storage Devices' link in OpStor
Webclient
- By default 'None' option will be selected
- Provide the IP Address of the DELL PV 132T / 136T tape library IP in the
"IP Address" text fields
- If the read community is other than "public" , choose 'SNMP' option and
specify it in the "community" field
- Click "Add Device'.
