Active Directory User Reports
Monitoring & analyzing changes in a windows active directory domain with many Organizational units and numerous users is essential, but viewing all the parameters & attributes of user in a domain through native console is tedious and consumes ample time.

User reports help the administrator to view all users in a simple table format, these reports can be customized by adding/removing columns. The following are the 25+ reports exclusively for active directory user objects that provide automated information on all user attributes.
Account Status Reports
The status of users and their accounts keep on changing; keeping track of them is needed. “Account Status Reports" will assist the administrator by generating detailed reports on the following:
Disabled Users, Locked out Users, Account Expired Users, Recently Account Expired Users, Soon-to-expire User Accounts, Users in more than one Group, Recently Deleted Users, Recently Created Users, Recently Modified Users.
Nested Reports
Many a times administrator will face the situation where different users form a group and a user may belong to different groups, this information can be obtained from "nested reports " which generates the following reports:
Users in a Group
This report lists all the users in a group. If there is a sub group in the list, it again iterates all the child users from that group and produces the complete nested user list .
Groups for a User
This report lists all the groups for a user. If the group is a member of another group, it iterates the parent group also and produces all the nested groups for that user.
Group Based Reports
Group based reports provide the details of the users of a
specific group. You also can view the list of users belonging
to more than one group, including the members in nested groups.
Disabled Users
Provides the list of user accounts that are disabled by the
administrator. The userAccountControl attribute is used to
determine the disabled users in the domain.
Locked out Users
Provides the details of the user accounts that have been locked out due to frequent bad login attempts. The Account Lock out Policy specifies the allowed number of bad login attempts after which the account will be locked. “Locked out users” reports will help the administrator in handling this issue. |

All Users Report
Provides a quick view of all the users of the selected domains.
Users with Empty Attributes
Enables the administrator to find the list of users who
do not have any value specified for a particular attribute. The attributes like profile path, homefolder, department, Logon script which bear null value will be verified for generating Empty Attributes List. |
Reports on Expiry Information
ADManager Plus provides out-of-the-box reports to determining
the account and password expired users. You can also get to
know the accounts and password that will expire in the near
future.
Reports on Recent Updates
These reports provide the details of the changes in the Active
Directory for a specified period. The changes could be user
creation, user modification, and list of recently logged on
and account expired users. |
